5 Weekly Scheduled Departures for the Kimberley Region

Pacific Transport provides a 5 times weekly transport service of general and refrigerated goods to Derby and Broome, including towns on route such as Newman and Port Hedland.

Departing

Monday for delivery Wednesday
Tuesday for delivery Thursday
Wednesday for delivery Friday
Friday for delivery Monday
Saturday for delivery Monday

Goods are to be received by 2.30pm on departure days. Freezer/chiller goods to be received by 12 noon sharp. Steel deliveries to be received by noon on days of departure.

A metro pickup service is also available, although pickups must be phoned through by 10.30am on departure days to ensure same day dispatch.

We also encourage you to call us as soon your goods are ready, no matter how big or small, so we can collect them to ensure an early departure and safe journey.

Remote Cattle Stations and Communities

Pacific Transport has developed strong relationships with station owners and communities, offering transport and support directly rather than via the closest towns. This reduces the need for double handling of freight and associated delays. We don’t mind heading off the beaten track.

Project Construction Support and Plant Relocations

Pacific Transport has completed many of Western Australia’s largest construction suppliers over the last 10 years for some of W.A’s largest engineering groups. Internal systems have been developed to ensure pickup, consolidation on and delivery to sites is on time and without delay. Tracking systems are also in place to monitor goods transport status.

Pacific Transport has also been involved in large and small scale plant relocations and has purchased specific equipment for such projects.

Container/Wharf Services

Pacific Transport can take complete care of your container handling including wharf pick up, unpacking, distribution and container dehire in Perth, Broome and Derby.

We have sideloaders and container handling equipment in all depots and experienced staff to get the job done with a minimum of disruption.

Heavy lift Truck Crane

We can accommodate those out of the ordinary jobs with our Palfinger truck crane with lifting capacity of 2.5tonne @ 12meters and 8.1 tonne at 3.6m. Coupled with a 45 ft semi tilt tray this combination can move anything anywhere.

Barge loading and Stevedoring

Pacific Transport is responsible for the main land barge loading and stevedoring for 2 iron ore mines located on Koolan and Cockatoo islands in the far north Kimberley. This includes the line haul transport from Perth, consolidation and preparation in our Derby terminal for crane or Ro Ro loading on to barges at the Derby wharf for distribution to the islands. We have developed systems and procedures that streamline and fast track this process due to the radical tidal changes in the region of up to 11.5 metres.
